Is all water the same?

Is all water the same? With the expert guidance of water sommelier André Uhlig, we got to the bottom of this question together with several water suppliers from the region. Water sommeliers usually focus on mineral and medicinal waters. A taste comparison of such samples usually yields clear results due to their different compositions. But should this also be possible with drinking water samples, especially those from the Upper Lusatia region? In a blind tasting, taste differences were indeed detected. The cold extract of green tea (see picture) was particularly impressive. We were all amazed at how strongly the transition of the tea aroma depended on the water! We water experts gained new insights that day and realized the value of our drinking water. What a precious commodity!
